Travelling is best enjoyed when worries are left behind so to meet travelling requirements of the students and secure them from any unforeseen event, EFU Student Travel Takaful provides relief to the students by offering various benefits. such as: Emergency Medical expenses & Hospitalization abroad, Loss of inflight checked in baggage, Loss of Passport & Tuition Fees on direct settlement basis & providing 24/7 immediate assistance in the country of study abroad.
Provides coverage for medical expenses incurred during hospitalization due to sudden illness or injury of the Participant occurring outside the usual country of residence. Any kind of pre-existing conditions prevailing (whether known or not known to the applicant) prior to taking the policy or prior to commencing the trip are not covered by the policy.
If the Participant gets hospitalized for consecutive more than seven (7) days, EFU General Insurance-Window Takaful Operation will provide the one-way economy air ticket cost and accommodation expenses incurred to the relative or friend of the Participant, considering the Participant travelled alone for a maximum of consecutive 5 days subject to the policy terms and conditions.
In the event of the death of the Participant, the Assistance Service Provider on behalf of the Takaful Operator will arrange for transporting the Participant's mortal remains from the place of death to the Home Country if requested by a family member or legal representative.
As soon as the Assistance Service Provider is notified about an emergency by the Participant resulting from sudden illness or any accident, the Assistance Service Provider will guide the Participant or itself determine the best course of action to be taken and extend the best possible assistance.
In case of lost or stolen passport accidently and unintentionally, cover is provided for reissuance cost incurred in getting a new passport.
If the checked in baggage is lost by the scheduled airline, EFU General Insurance-Window Takaful Operation will compensate the loss upto the sum covered in the policy and as more specifically described in the policy terms & conditions.
In case of an accident leading to accidental death and or permanent or partial disablement, compensation shall be provided to the Participant/ legal heirs of the Participant up to limits specified in the policy provided the accident occurs during the period of Takaful and while travelling abroad or staying in the country outside the Usual Country of Residence.
In the event of a sudden death of the Parent, whose details are indicated in the Application Form, the Assistance Service Provider will compensate the Participant upto an amount as stated in the Policy and according to the plan selected provided always that sudden death of the parent shall affect the studies of the Participant.
